Key Responsibilities:
System Design and Implementation:
- Design and implement OT systems such as SCADA, DCS, PLC, and other control systems for various industries.
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure the seamless integration of OT systems with existing IT infrastructure.
- Develop customized OT solutions based on client requirements, focusing on optimizing performance, reliability, and security.
Integration and Interoperability:
- Lead the integration of OT systems with enterprise IT systems, ensuring real-time data exchange and operational continuity.
- Implement secure communication protocols and interfaces between OT and IT systems, such as OPC UA, MQTT, and Modbus TCP/IP.
Security and Compliance:
- Implement and maintain cybersecurity measures for OT environments, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations such as IEC 62443 and NERC CIP.
- Conduct regular security assessments and audits of OT systems, identifying and mitigating potential vulnerabilities.
Operational Support and Troubleshooting:
- Provide ongoing support for OT systems, including troubleshooting and resolving technical issues to minimize downtime.
- Develop and implement maintenance strategies for OT systems, ensuring long-term reliability and performance.
Project Management:
- Manage OT projects from conception to completion, including defining project scope, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Coordinate with internal teams, vendors, and clients to ensure successful project delivery.
Client Engagement and Support:
- Work closely with clients to understand their operational challenges and provide expert advice on OT system optimization and integration.
- Deliver training and support to client teams on the use and maintenance of OT systems.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Create detailed technical documentation, including system designs, configuration guides, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Prepare and present reports on OT system performance, security, and project status to clients and internal stakeholders.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in OT engineering, with a strong background in designing, implementing, and supporting OT systems.
- Proven experience in integrating OT systems with IT infrastructure in sectors such as manufacturing, energy, utilities, or critical infrastructure.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in OT systems and protocols, including SCADA, PLC, DCS, and relevant communication protocols (e.g., OPC UA, Modbus, MQTT).
- Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, including networking, cloud computing, and cybersecurity best practices.
- Experience with cybersecurity frameworks and standards applicable to OT environments (e.g., IEC 62443, NIST, NERC CIP).
Soft Skills:
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong project management abilities, with experience leading cross-functional teams.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to engage with clients and stakeholders at all levels.
