You will leverage your extensive industry knowledge to conduct thorough audits, identify potential areas of improvement, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
Audit Planning & Execution
- Develop and implement comprehensive audit plans and programs tailored to aviation and airlines operations.
- Conduct risk-based audits, including operational, financial, compliance, and IT audits.
- Review and assess internal controls, processes, and systems to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
Industry-Specific Focus
- Apply industry-specific knowledge to evaluate compliance with aviation regulations (e.g., FAA, EASA) and airline standards.
- Identify and assess risks related to safety, security, and operational efficiency specific to the aviation sector.
Reporting & Recommendations
- Prepare detailed audit reports with findings, conclusions, and actionable recommendations.
- Present audit results to senior management and assist in the development of action plans for addressing identified issues.
Continuous Improvement
- Stay updated with industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices to enhance audit processes.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and compliance within the organization.
Experience
- Minimum of 12 years of experience as an Internal Auditor, with significant experience in the aviation and airlines industry.
- Proven track record of managing complex audits and providing valuable insights in the aviation sector.
Education
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Aviation Management, or a related field.
- Professional certification such as CIA (Certified Internal Auditor), CPA (Certified Public Accountant), or CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor) is highly desirable.
Specific Skills
- In-depth understanding of aviation regulations and standards (e.g., ICAO, IATA).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess complex processes and controls.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present findings to senior management.
- Proficiency in audit software and Microsoft Office Suite.
