Role Summary: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Electrical Substation Testing Engineer to join our team in Qatar. The ideal candidate will be responsible for testing, commissioning, and ensuring the reliability and safety of electrical substations. You will work on a variety of critical systems, including transformers, relays, circuit breakers, and other substation components, ensuring they operate within specified parameters.

Key Responsibilities:
- Perform CT/VT Testing to verify the accuracy and reliability of current and voltage transformers.
- Conduct Circuit Breaker (CB) Testing to ensure effective operation and safety.
- Execute Primary and Secondary Injection Testing for CT/VT systems to validate their performance under various load conditions.
- Conduct Trip Logic Checks to verify the correct functioning of protection circuits.
- Perform Auxiliary Relay Testing to ensure reliability in substation operations.
- Complete AC/DC Checks to confirm power quality and system stability.
- Carry out Bay Control Unit (BCU) Testing to maintain the integrity of bay control systems.
- Perform Transformer Stability and Sensitivity Tests to check for operational reliability and fault detection.
- Conduct 11 kV Busbar Protection (BBP) Stability & Sensitivity Tests for system stability assurance.
- Verify LVAC/LVDC Systems for substation power distribution reliability.
- Perform Binary Input (BI) Verification to ensure digital signals are processed accurately.
- Execute LSP Scheme Checks to validate the effectiveness of protection schemes.
- Conduct RTCC (Remote Tap Changing Control) Scheme Checks for monitoring and control of transformer tap changers, excluding AVR relay testing.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience in electrical substation testing and commissioning.
- Strong knowledge of protection systems, transformers, and circuit breaker testing.
- Proficiency in primary and secondary injection testing for CT/VT.
- Familiarity with substation components, including BCU, RTCC, and auxiliary relay systems.
- Good understanding of AC/DC power systems and LVAC/LVDC checks.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a strong focus on safety and reliability.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong communication skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Hands-on experience with test equipment and software used in substation testing.
- Knowledge of transformer stability and sensitivity testing protocols.
- Certification in substation testing and commissioning is an advantage.
