Contract Manager - Electrical Substation & Overhead Lines

We are seeking a highly experienced Contracts Manager to oversee contract closure, post-closure activities, and claims management for a leading electrical substation and overhead line commissioning company. The ideal candidate will have 10 to 15 years of experience in contract management within large-scale EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) projects, particularly in the power transmission and distribution sector. Expertise in FIDIC contracts is essential, along with a strong understanding of risk assessment, claims management, and dispute resolution.

Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

  • Contract Management & Closure

    • Lead the entire contract lifecycle, from award to closure, ensuring contractual obligations are met.
    • Manage post-closure formalities, including warranties, guarantees, and final settlements.
    • Ensure compliance with contractual terms, statutory requirements, and company policies.
  • Claims & Dispute Resolution

    • Analyze contractual entitlements and prepare claims for variations, extensions of time (EOT), and cost compensations.
    • Lead negotiations with clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders on claims and settlements.
    • Handle dispute resolution in accordance with FIDIC contract guidelines.
  • Risk & Compliance Management

    • Identify, assess, and mitigate contractual risks.
    • Ensure alignment with Saudi Arabian legal frameworks and international contract standards.
    • Work closely with legal, finance, and project teams to enforce contract governance.
  • Stakeholder Coordination

    • Act as the primary liaison between internal teams, clients, subcontractors, and legal advisors on contractual matters.
    • Provide strategic advice to senior management on risk mitigation, claims, and dispute avoidance.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Law, Business Administration, or related fields. A Master’s degree or certifications in Contract Management is an advantage.
  • 10 to 15 years of experience in contract management within the power transmission, substation, or EPC industry.
  • Expertise in FIDIC contracts and extensive experience in handling claims, variations, and dispute resolution.
  • Strong knowledge of contract negotiation, risk management, and commercial strategy.
  • Experience working in Saudi Arabia or the GCC region is preferred.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
