Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled IBM Datapower & API Connect Developer to design, develop, and manage API solutions that align with business and technical requirements. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in implementing security mechanisms, API policies, and transformation processes while ensuring API lifecycle management and best practices. This role requires expertise in IBM Datapower, API Connect, XSLT, and gateway scripting, along with experience in containerized application development using Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement API solutions using IBM API Connect and IBM Datapower.
• Configure and customize API policies, including security, rate limiting, caching, and transformation.
• Implement Multi-Protocol Gateway (MPGW) and Web Service Proxy services.
• Conduct unit testing, integration testing, and performance testing of APIs.
• Implement monitoring and analytics solutions to track API performance and optimize efficiency.
• Define and enforce API design best practices for scalability, security, and maintainability.
• Develop containerized applications using Docker on Kubernetes/OpenShift.

Required Skills & Experience

• Experience in IBM Datapower and IBM API Connect.
• Hands-on implementation of security mechanisms in API Connect/Datapower.
• Strong proficiency in XSLT and gateway scripting.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes/OpenShift.
• Knowledge of GitLab for version control and CI/CD integration.

Preferred Skills (Good to Have)

• Experience with Drupal for content management.
• Knowledge of IBM Integration Bus (IIB/ACE) and IBM MQ.
• Familiarity with Elastic Search for indexing and search optimization.
• Understanding of DevOps methodologies and automation tools.
• Experience with Dynatrace for application performance monitoring.
