Role Objective
The Android Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality mobile applications with a focus on Backbase platform integrations. Deliver cost-efficient and maintainable solutions within the Backbase platform framework to optimize project timelines and budgets.
Address performance issues proactively to reduce operational costs and ensure long-term system stability.
Contribute to the evaluation and adoption of tools and technologies to maximize development efficiency.
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand user needs and deliver Android applications that enhance the digital banking experience.
Ensure the developed applications align with customer requirements and Backbase design principles.
Provide prompt resolutions to customer-reported issues and feedback, ensuring a positive user experience.
Design, develop, and maintain Android applications with a focus on Backbase platform integration, leveraging Kotlin, Java, and Backbase SDKs.
Work with Backbase components, templates, and widgets to deliver modular and scalable features.
Implement RESTful APIs and services for seamless communication with backend systems and data synchronization.
Collaborate with UI/UX teams to create visually appealing and user-friendly interfaces consistent with Backbase standards.
Conduct thorough testing, debugging, and performance optimization to ensure the stability and quality of Android applications.
Perform code reviews to maintain high-quality coding standards and share knowledge with team members.
Stay updated on Android development advancements, Backbase updates, and industry trends to ensure continuous improvement.

Educational Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field

Experience
3-5 years in a similar financial services institution, ideally with Islamic Banking product knowledge and experience
