Senior Network Engineer (Team Lead)

Doha, Qatar

The Senior Network Engineer – OT Team Lead will be responsible for managing and guiding a specialized technical team conducting OT asset and infrastructure assessments across Qatar Energy’s onshore and offshore facilities. This individual will act as the primary technical interface with Honeywell’s project leadership and Malomatia’s governance unit. With a strong foundation in OT network protocols, project leadership, and Oil & Gas industry standards, this role is critical in ensuring successful delivery of high-quality network documentation, assessments, and alignment with Qatar Energy’s safety and compliance frameworks.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise OT network infrastructure assessments and inventories at Qatar Energy locations.

  • Oversee network mapping, validation, and documentation aligned with Honeywell and client standards.

  • Validate and assess NTP synchronization mechanisms across OT environments.

  • Act as key liaison with Honeywell project managers and Malomatia’s oversight teams.

  • Ensure quality assurance checks on all technical deliverables.

  • Provide leadership and guidance to field engineers and technicians during site activities.

Competences, Skills, Experience

  • 10+ years of network engineering experience, with 5+ years in OT systems for Oil & Gas.

  • Deep understanding of SCADA, DCS, PLC, OT cybersecurity protocols, and industrial networking.

  • Strong leadership experience in infrastructure projects involving multi-site OT environments.

  • Familiarity with Honeywell OT systems and Qatar Energy’s safety and compliance frameworks.

  • Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and reporting skills.

Education, Academic Qualification, Certifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field.

  • Relevant certifications: CCNP, CCIE, CISSP, GICSP (highly desirable).

Language and Other Selection Criteria

  • Proficiency in English (spoken and written); Arabic is a plus.

  • Willingness and certification to work in offshore/onshore environments.

  • Strong understanding of HSE protocols in high-risk Oil & Gas settings
