Oracle EBusiness Suite - SCM Functional Consultant

Job Role Summary

We are seeking an  experienced Oracle EBusiness Suite – SCM Functional Consultant responsible for taking full ownership of change requests, enhancements, and project deliverables. The ideal candidate will support Oracle EBS SCM modules and work closely with business and technical teams to analyze, design, configure, and implement functional solutions. This role requires a deep understanding of Oracle SCM processes and excellent communication skills to engage with stakeholders across various phases of the software development lifecycle.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Take full ownership of change requests, minor and major enhancements, and assigned project tasks

  • Participate in system upgrades and patching by supporting related activities

  • Conduct Requirements Analysis, Functional and Feasibility Analysis, Impact Assessment, Functional Design, and Configuration for enhancement requests

  • Perform Functional, System, Integration, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT)

  • Execute Performance Testing using HMC-approved tools and processes

  • Manage releases in accordance with HMC processes and service management tools

  • Configure and maintain setups in Oracle EBS Test and Production environments

  • Collaborate with development teams during design and build phases involving custom components

  • Recommend custom solutions as part of functional analysis when required

  • Work with Business teams during requirements gathering, design validation, and UAT

  • Train end-users and business teams on new functionalities and enhancements

  • Prepare comprehensive documentation as per HMC standards, including setup documents, functional designs, test plans, cutover strategies, rollback plans, etc.

  • Adhere to HMC’s Service Management and Change/Release Management processes via the designated ticketing system

  • Raise and manage Oracle SRs (Service Requests) for issue resolution and enhancements

  • Conduct requirements and functional analysis for OBIEE report development

Competences, Skills, Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as an Oracle EBS SCM Consultant, including at least 3 years of operational support

  • Hands-on experience with at least 2 full-cycle Oracle EBS implementations (preferably version 12.2.X)

  • In-depth functional expertise in Oracle EBS modules:

    • Purchasing

    • Services Procurement

    • Order Management

    • Inventory

    • iProcurement

    • Sourcing

    • WMS

    • Mobile Supply Chain (Intellinum integration experience is a plus)

  • Experience in business solution prototyping, process enhancements, testing, training, release management, and adherence to change processes

  • Exposure to third-party system integration with Oracle EBS

  • Strong experience in WMS processes and related mobile solutions

  • Proven client-facing experience, with ability to coordinate across on-site and offshore teams

  • Skilled in working with technical teams for development and implementation of custom solutions

  • Proficient in documentation using AIM and OUM methodologies

  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, presentation, and communication skills

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks independently with consistent delivery of clear status reports

  • Knowledge or certification in ITIL processes is advantageous

  • Experience supporting SCM in healthcare organizations is a plus

  • Oracle SCM Cloud experience will be considered an advantage

Education, Academic Qualification, Certifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent discipline (mandatory)

  • ITIL Certification (preferred)

  • Oracle Certifications in SCM or EBS (preferred)

Language and Other Selection Criteria

  • Excellent written and verbal communication in English 

  • Strong stakeholder management skills

  • Ability to work in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment

  • Flexibility to adapt to changing business requirements and timelines
