Job Role Summary
The Oracle E-Business Suite – Technical Consultant will be responsible for full ownership and execution of technical and development activities involving change requests, enhancements, and project tasks. This includes application development, configuration, and support, utilizing a wide array of Oracle development tools and technologies. The consultant will be instrumental in designing, building, reviewing, and maintaining robust, scalable, and high-quality technical solutions within Oracle EBS ERP R12.2.x, while also contributing to the development of OBIEE reports and ADF-based applications.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Take ownership of technical tasks related to change requests, enhancements, and projects
- Perform application development and configuration setups
- Develop using SQL, PL/SQL, Forms, Reports, Java, OAF, BI Publisher, E-Business APIs, Interfaces, AME, Workflow Builder, Discoverer, Web ADI, etc.
- Create XML, BI Publisher reports, and alerts
- Consistently document code and maintain development documentation
- Design solutions based on business/user requirements and conduct technical solution reviews
- Participate in peer code/design reviews and quality assurance processes
- Collaborate with functional consultants and Business IS teams during design, development, and testing phases
- Review, fix, enhance, and develop code deliverables
- Raise and manage Service Requests with Oracle Support when needed
- Perform technical analysis and build OBIEE reports
- Adhere to HMC Service Management guidelines, including Change and Release Management procedures using HMC's ticketing system
Competences, Skills, Experience
- Minimum 5–6 years of development experience with ADF technologies
- Over 5 years of Oracle E-Business Suite ERP R12.2.x development experience
- Experience in OBIEE report development
- Ability to manage information systems effectively and deliver quality results
- Strong English communication skills (written and verbal)
- Proven ability to handle multiple tasks/projects under pressure
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and team collaboration skills
Prior Responsibilities Include:
- ERP (Oracle E-Business Suite + Fusion) development with Oracle technologies
- Use of tools such as SQL, PL/SQL, Forms, Reports, OAF, ADF, Java, BI Publisher, Workflow Builder, SOAP/REST Web-services
- Full custom application design using ADF and MVC model
- End-user support and issue resolution for ADF applications
- Technical documentation, user training, and service request handling via My Oracle Support
- Integration support for systems interfacing with EBS and Oracle tech stack
- ADF application reactive support and customer satisfaction initiatives
- Web-services integration using SOAP and REST technologies
Education, Academic Qualification, Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Java technologies (J2EE, J2SE) certification is a plus
