Summary
This is a hybrid role combining cybersecurity implementation and end-user technical support. The position will ensure frontline cybersecurity enforcement while providing L1/L2 support to business users, in line with Qatar’s digital governance mandates.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Provide L1/L2 technical support for desktops, devices, and user access
- Support AD/Entra ID lifecycle within shared services
- Implement and manage perimeter defense, NAC, and firewall rules
- Collaborate with national SOC and respond to incidents
- Enable secure mobile and VPN access as per remote access policy
- Conduct internal audits, prepare incident records, and asset tracking
- Ensure zero-trust segmentation and endpoint protection
- Document and escalate incidents per Q-CERT or NIA protocols
Ideal Candidate Specification
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in IT, Cybersecurity, or related field
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in end-user support and cybersecurity implementation
- Hands-on experience in managing user access controls and device security
- Basic understanding of national mandates such as Q-CERT or NIA
- Familiarity with ITSM tools and service ticket lifecycle
- Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Microsoft Modern Desktop, or equivalent preferred
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
