Summary
Service Control Engineer ensures effective execution of Service Asset and Configuration Management, Change and Release Management, Problem Management, and Service Reporting. It requires strong process adherence, troubleshooting, and analytical abilities to support IT service delivery.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Participate in change advisory meetings and support yearly quality audits
- Manage and maintain CIs in the CMDB and ensure accurate attributes and relationships
- Support change and release management activities including assessment, updates, and reporting
- Identify problem trends, manage problem tasks, and drive corrective actions
- Produce reports on SLAs, OLAs, and service performance
- Analyze and interpret complex data sets to identify trends and improvement opportunities
- Conduct workshops, training, and participate in internal and external audits
Ideal Candidate’s Specification
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent
- 6 to 8 years of relevant IT experience
- Strong communication, analytical, and collaboration skills
- Ability to troubleshoot, resolve technical issues, and manage problem processes
- Knowledge of ITIL frameworks and process compliance
- Familiarity with database systems and SQL
- Experience in automation and report development using reporting tools
