Senior Procurement Specialist

Doha, Qatar

Position Objective:

This position manages the procurement of goods and services across various departments. The role involves strategic sourcing, bid evaluations, supplier management, and compliance with organizational procurement policies and applicable legal regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and manage the annual procurement schedule in alignment with operational needs and budgets.

  • Prepare tender documentation, conduct market analysis, and lead bid evaluations.

  • Ensure compliance with procurement laws, policies, and audit requirements.

  • Negotiate with suppliers to ensure optimal pricing and delivery terms.

  • Maintain and update the approved vendor list and supplier performance metrics.

  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to forecast procurement needs.

  • Monitor contract execution and performance in coordination with the contract management team.

  • Contribute to the implementation of procurement automation systems and digital workflows.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Business, Supply Chain, or equivalent.

  • Professional certification such as CIPS, CPPP, or PMP is desirable.

  • At least 6 years of procurement experience, preferably in the public or semi-public sector.

  • Proficiency in ERP or procurement software (e.g., Oracle, SAP, or similar).

  • Strong negotiation and documentation skills.

  • Bilingual capability is a plus (English required; Arabic desirable).
