Enterprise Infrastructure Architect

Role Summary
The Enterprise Infrastructure Architect will lead the design, modernization, and governance of enterprise infrastructure across data center, cloud, and hybrid environments. The role is responsible for defining architecture roadmaps, driving cloud adoption, modernizing legacy infrastructure, and ensuring scalability, security, resilience, and operational excellence across the organization’s technology landscape. The position will work closely with senior leadership, technical teams, and business stakeholders to deliver future-ready infrastructure solutions aligned with business strategy.

Key Responsibilities

Enterprise Architecture and Strategy

  • Define, maintain, and evolve the enterprise architecture roadmap for infrastructure modernization, cloud adoption, and hybrid or multi-cloud transformation.
  • Align infrastructure and technology architecture with business objectives, ensuring scalability, security, resilience, and operational efficiency.
  • Establish and enforce architecture governance, standards, frameworks, and best practices across infrastructure domains.

Data Center Modernization

  • Architect end-to-end data center modernization solutions covering compute, storage, network, virtualization, automation, and security.
  • Lead the transition from legacy infrastructure to hyper-converged, software-defined, and cloud-integrated platforms.
  • Oversee capacity planning, workload assessment, migration planning, and infrastructure modernization blueprints.

Multi-Cloud and Hybrid Cloud Architecture

  • Design enterprise solutions across major cloud platforms including Microsoft Azure, AWS, and GCP, as well as private cloud environments.
  • Define cloud landing zones, network architecture, IAM models, security controls, governance frameworks, and operating standards.
  • Drive cloud adoption initiatives including cloud-native infrastructure, container platforms, Kubernetes, and automation.

Infrastructure Architecture

  • Design enterprise-grade infrastructure covering compute, storage, networking, virtualization, backup, disaster recovery, and security.
  • Ensure seamless integration across on-premises, colocation, cloud, and edge environments.
  • Define architecture standards for high availability, disaster recovery, business continuity, and performance optimization.

Technology Leadership

  • Act as a trusted advisor to CIO, CTO, and senior leadership on technology modernization, infrastructure transformation, and cloud strategy.
  • Lead cross-functional technical teams in large-scale transformation and modernization programs.
  • Conduct technical assessments, develop solution designs, and guide implementation teams throughout project delivery.

Stakeholder Management

  • Collaborate with business leaders, delivery teams, and vendors to ensure architecture alignment with organizational goals.
  • Present architecture recommendations, technical roadmaps, and investment proposals to executive stakeholders.
  • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to architects, engineers, and project teams.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 15 years of progressive experience in enterprise architecture, infrastructure architecture, data center environments, and cloud transformation.
  • Proven experience in data center modernization programs.
  • Strong hands-on experience in multi-cloud and hybrid cloud architecture across Azure, AWS, and GCP.
  • Strong experience with software-defined infrastructure including SDN, SDS, and HCI.
  • Strong knowledge of virtualization platforms such as VMware, Hyper-V, and KVM.
  • Experience in infrastructure automation using tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
  • Experience with container platforms such as Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise networking including LAN, WAN, and SD-WAN.
  • Strong understanding of security frameworks, IAM, compliance, and infrastructure governance.
  • Strong knowledge of disaster recovery, backup strategies, and business continuity planning.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • TOGAF
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect
  • Microsoft Azure Architect certifications
  • Kubernetes certifications such as CKA or CKAD
  • VMware certifications such as VCP or VCDX
