Business Analyst (Banking Experienced)

Doha, Qatar

Business Analyst, Banking Transformation

Location: Doha, Qatar (on-site)
Industry: Financial services / Banking

The Role Summary

Talent Leaders is hiring experienced Business Analysts for a major transformation programme within a financial institution in Qatar. The work sits between the business and delivery teams: taking strategic objectives and turning them into requirements that are clear, testable, and that actually get built and adopted.

Depending on your background, you may be aligned to one business area within the programme. This is hands-on analysis on live change, not documentation for its own sake. You own requirements end to end, from first workshop through UAT and go-live readiness.

Job Responsibilities

  • Run workshops and stakeholder sessions to elicit, challenge, and document requirements. Produce BRDs, FRDs, user stories, and use cases with traceability, prioritisation, and clear acceptance criteria.

  • Map current state, interim state, and target operating models, and define the process and control changes needed to move between them.
  • Work with the business to set KPIs, baselines, and measurement logic so benefits are tracked and evidenced rather than assumed.
  • Analyse core business processes (origination, pricing, approvals, servicing, and performance tracking, as relevant to your area) and identify automation and efficiency opportunities.
  • Pressure-test vendor and IT solution designs, surface gaps and risks early, and put trade-offs in front of the business owner with a clear recommendation.
  • Own UAT: test scripts, defect management, and the evidence that feeds go / no-go and adoption decisions.
  • Keep business, operations, product, and technology stakeholders aligned through delivery.

Experience and skills required

  • 5 to 7+ years in business analysis, transformation, or consulting within a bank or financial institution. Time spent specifically on a bank transformation programme is strongly preferred.

  • A structured approach to analysis: requirements management, process mapping (as-is / to-be), and operating model design.

  • Credible presence with senior business, operations, risk, and technology stakeholders, and a working understanding of the regulatory and governance constraints that shape change in banking.

  • Domain depth in at least one of: wholesale or corporate banking, global markets and treasury, private banking and wealth, credit and risk, banking operations and technology, or HR transformation.

  • Experience across GCC markets; exposure to international markets is an advantage.
