Business Analyst

Purpose of the role

Bridge business operations and the data programme. Elicit requirements, document current-state processes and data flows, and translate governance and quality design into changes the business will actually accept.

Key responsibilities

  • Conduct stakeholder interviews and workshops across business functions.
  • Document current-state business processes, data flows, system landscapes and pain points.
  • Elicit, structure and prioritise business and data requirements.
  • Support data domain identification, critical data element definition and business glossary population.
  • Produce process maps, requirement specifications, use cases and traceability matrices.
  • Support impact assessment for proposed governance and quality controls.
  • Facilitate validation and sign-off sessions with business data owners.
  • Support user acceptance activity for any tooling deployed.

Mandatory requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of professional work experience on relevant and comparable completed projects.
  • Delivery experience in the MENA region.
  • Experience in the Power and Utilities sector.
  • Strong documentation and facilitation capability in English.

Advantageous

  • Prior engagement with a Qatari utility or infrastructure entity.
  • Arabic language capability, particularly for workshop facilitation with operational staff.
  • CBAP, CCBA or PMI-PBA certification.
  • Familiarity with BPMN, ArchiMate, Visio, Confluence or Jira.
  • Data-specific analysis background rather than general IT business analysis.
