Business Development Manager (Learning Management System LMS)

  • Doha, Qatar

About the role

Our client, a well-established provider of education software and learning solutions, is looking for a Business Development Manager to grow its educational application business across Qatar.

You will own the full sales cycle for the education portfolio, from prospecting and qualifying through to negotiation and close. Working alongside account managers, presales and channel partners, you will build pipeline, expand revenue within existing enterprise and institutional accounts, and make sure customers get full value from the learning programmes they buy.

Key responsibilities

  • Prospect within new and existing accounts to uncover education and training opportunities, working closely with account managers, presales and channel partners.
  • Build, manage and accurately forecast the education sales pipeline.
  • Grow upsell and cross-sell revenue by positioning education solutions alongside wider technology deals and contract renewals.
  • Build consultative relationships with clients up to IT and senior management level, based on a clear understanding of their learning and capability needs.
  • Generate leads, referrals and new customer opportunities across government, semi-government, enterprise and academic sectors.
  • Lead proposals, pricing and negotiations through to contract signature, protecting margin while expanding the account.
  • Work with internal specialists and industry experts to anticipate customer needs and shape the right solution.
  • Manage delivery of purchased training programmes and keep utilisation of client training credits at 85% or higher before expiry.
  • Keep accurate records of client training plans, credit usage and deal profiles in the CRM.
  • Track market trends, competitor offerings and partner developments in the Qatar education technology space.

What you will bring

  • Minimum 5 years in business development or specialist sales for education software, e-learning or technology training solutions.
  • At least 3 years of that experience in the Qatar market, with an active network across Qatari government, enterprise and education buyers.
  • Full professional fluency in Arabic and English, spoken and written. You will present, negotiate and write proposals in both languages.
  • A track record of meeting or exceeding progressively larger sales targets.
  • Strong understanding of how education and training solutions are bought, and how to qualify an opportunity on both technical and commercial grounds.
  • Confident presenting to IT managers and senior decision makers.
  • Disciplined pipeline management and accurate forecasting.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Currently in Qatar and able to transfer your visa to our client's employment partner, or already holding a labour card under that partner. Details will be shared at screening.
