Job Purpose
The Data Analyst – Power BI is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining interactive dashboards, reports, and BI solutions that support business decision-making. The role focuses on ensuring data quality, reliability, and relevance, while continuously enhancing the BI ecosystem through modern tools, features, and methodologies. The incumbent will also build ETL/ELT pipelines, integrate data from multiple sources, and deliver meaningful visual insights to stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI to support operational and strategic decision-making.
- Ensure the accuracy, quality, reliability, and relevance of data presented in dashboards and reporting solutions.
- Monitor, maintain, and continuously improve the business intelligence ecosystem by evaluating and implementing new tools, features, and methodologies.
- Work with Power BI Fabric, Dataflows, and Deployment Pipelines to improve reporting efficiency and governance.
- Develop ETL/ELT pipelines to extract, transform, and load data from multiple data sources.
- Integrate and consolidate data from SQL databases, flat files, APIs, ERP systems, and other enterprise data sources.
- Build and maintain efficient data models to support scalable reporting and analytics.
- Use DAX and Power Query (M) to create calculations, transformations, and advanced reporting logic.
- Apply data visualization best practices to present insights in a clear, meaningful, and user-friendly manner.
- Collaborate with business users and stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Support report deployment, testing, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
- Maintain documentation for dashboards, data models, data pipelines, and reporting processes.
- Provide ongoing support for BI solutions and recommend enhancements based on business needs.
- Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, and reporting.
- Strong hands-on experience in Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service.
- Strong knowledge of DAX, Power Query (M), data modeling, and data visualization techniques.
- Experience in building ETL/ELT pipelines and handling data integration from multiple sources.
- Practical experience with SQL databases, flat files, APIs, and ERP systems.
- Strong experience with SSIS and SSAS.
- Good understanding of BI architecture, reporting lifecycle, and deployment practices.
- Proficiency in both Arabic and English.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Microsoft Fabric and modern BI ecosystem enhancements.
- Experience in report publishing, workspace management, and deployment pipelines in Power BI Service.
- Understanding of data governance, data quality controls, and BI best practices.
- Exposure to enterprise reporting environments and cross-functional stakeholder engagement.
