IT Manager

Job Summary 

A leading real estate company in Qatar is seeking an experienced and hands-on IT Manager to lead and manage its technology infrastructure, systems, applications, cybersecurity and IT support operations.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, security and scalability of the company’s IT environment while supporting business operations across corporate offices, properties and project locations. The role requires broad experience across all major areas of IT, together with strong leadership, vendor-management and project-delivery capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement the company’s IT strategy, policies, procedures and technology roadmap.

  • Manage the organization’s IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, cloud platforms, data centres, end-user devices and communication systems.

  • Ensure the availability, performance and security of business-critical IT systems.

  • Lead cybersecurity, access control, data protection, vulnerability management and incident-response activities.

  • Manage enterprise applications, including ERP, finance, HR, procurement, document-management, CRM and property-management systems.

  • Oversee Microsoft 365, Active Directory, email, collaboration platforms and cloud services.

  • Manage IT support services and ensure timely resolution of hardware, software, network and user-related issues.

  • Establish and monitor backup, disaster-recovery and business-continuity arrangements.

  • Manage IT projects, including system implementations, upgrades, migrations and infrastructure expansions.

  • Evaluate new technologies and recommend solutions that improve operational efficiency, service delivery and cost control.

  • Manage relationships with IT vendors, consultants, telecom providers and system integrators.

  • Prepare and control the annual IT budget, procurement plans, software licensing and technology contracts.

  • Develop service-level agreements and monitor vendor and internal IT performance.

  • Maintain IT asset registers, inventories, warranties, licences and lifecycle-replacement plans.

  • Ensure compliance with applicable information-security, data-protection and corporate-governance requirements.

  • Support technology requirements across offices, residential or commercial properties, facilities and project sites.

  • Provide regular reports to senior management on IT performance, risks, projects, budgets and improvement initiatives.

  • Lead, coach and develop the internal IT team.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related discipline.

  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive IT experience, including experience in an IT management or leadership position.

  • Strong experience across infrastructure, networking, systems administration, cybersecurity, enterprise applications, cloud services and IT support.

  • Experience managing ERP systems and business applications.

  • Knowledge of Microsoft technologies, including Microsoft 365, Azure, Active Directory and Windows Server environments.

  • Strong understanding of LAN/WAN, VPN, firewalls, wireless networks, backup solutions and disaster recovery.

  • Experience managing IT budgets, projects, vendors, contracts and service-level agreements.

  • Experience developing IT policies, governance standards and operating procedures.

  • Strong project-management, analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication, stakeholder-management and team-leadership capabilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience within the real estate, property development, facilities management, construction or hospitality sector.

  • Experience with property-management, leasing, facilities-management or real estate ERP systems.

  • Professional certifications such as ITIL, PMP, CISSP, CISM, Microsoft, Cisco or equivalent.

  • Experience managing multi-site IT environments.

  • Knowledge of CCTV, access-control, building-management and smart-building systems.

  • Previous work experience in Qatar or the GCC region.
