Pharmacy Director

Pharmacy Director 
One of our clients is seeking candidates for a Director of Pharmacy opportunity located for a 63-bed hospital located a short drive from Philadelphia, PA, overseeing 6 Pharmacy Technicians 

Role Responsibility:
  • Responsible for the planning, organization and direction of the operations of the department through appropriate utilization of resources and delegation of responsibilities to achieve high quality standard of care in pharmacy services. 
  • Plans the course of the department to achieve budgetary and regulatory compliance while ensuring continuous quality of services provided. 
  • Positions the department to achieve best practice in clinical services and medication management systems while ensuring continuous quality of services provided.
  • Responsible for the physical pharmacy plant, all pharmacy related automation, and controlled substance compliance. 
  • Promotes the education and development of the pharmacy staff regarding pharmacy operational and clinical pharmacy activities. 
  • Achieves and maintains satisfactory working relationships pharmacy staff and other hospital departments, committees and administrators. 
  • Responsible for the planning, organization and direction of clinical practices through appropriate utilization of resources and delegation of responsibilities to achieve high quality standard of care in pharmacy services. 
  • Plans the course of the department to achieve best practice in clinical services and medication management systems, while ensuring continuous quality of services provided. 
  • Responsible for monitoring to promote quality improvement activities.

Selection Criteria (Must-To-Have)
  • 4 year / Bachelor's Degree: BS in Pharmacy
  • PA Pharmacist License required
  • 4-5 Years work experience in a progressive professional career in which administrative competence has been demonstrated (Required)
  • 5+ Years Work experience as a hospital pharmacist (Required)

Required Skills (The following skills will be assessed during the interview)
 
Thorough working knowledge of pharmacy operations, processes and policies appropriate to a hospital setting, Demonstrates strong communication, organizational and planning skills, Strong computer skills, i.e. adept at word processing, slide presentations, database and spreadsheet software.

Compensation
Base Salary : USD125,000 to USD150,000
Benefits : Full Time Benefits
